French couturier Jean-Paul Gaultier is stepping down as artistic director of the luxury ready-to-wear brand Hermes after seven years to concentrate on his own projects, the group announced Thursday.
The designer confirmed that he was leaving Hermes “on very good terms” and said he would still have a “privileged relationship” with the label.
“That’s it, the end of a beautiful story which lasted seven years,” he told AFP, describing his collaboration with Hermes as “a magnificent adventure” which taught him “another area of expertise”.

Since Kelis filed for divorce last year, Nas was ordered in December to pay Kelis more than $200,000 in back child and spousal support. Nas recently revealed to a judge, through his lawyer, that he wasn’t making enough money to pay Kelis the amount ordered to pay, citing that he only makes just under $150,000 a month.
