According to the newest information, Brittany Murphy was taking so many prescription drugs her death was pretty much inevitable! She was practically a bomb waiting to explode.

Pharmacy records show that she used her own name as well as the alias Lola Manilow Murphy to get large quantities of prescription drugs in various pharmacies. How large you may ask- well, it went from 200 to 400 a month!

The sources claim she had prescriptions for 32 different drugs during the years 2003 to 2009 including high blood pressure meds like Inderal and Propranolol , sedatives like chlordiazepoxide and promethazine, Prozac-based medications, Vicodin, medications for asthma and pneumonia and a whole list of things that could make your head spin!

The number of drugs she was “prescribed with” on monthly basis actually started to concern people in Eddie’s Pharmacy, where she has been getting her supplies during 2008 and 2009. The owner of the pharmacy told the TMZ news site Brittany was cut off 4 moths prior to her death because “We thought there was going to be an accident there”.

Simon Monjack, Britany’s widower and the founder of something that he says it should have been a charity organization dedicated to his late wife, confirmed to TMZ news site that the process of returning donations has started.

Brittany Murphy Foundation, set up to collect donations for children, was not legitimately a charity because Simon and Brittany’s mother, Sharon, failed to register it as a non profit organization. After TMZ had informed Monjack that the Foundation is illegitimate, the website was shut down only to appear a day later with a notice that the Foundation will return all donations and stop working until we have our non-profit status approved before proceeding to insure that we can truly honor Brittany’s charitable desires.”

Now, Simon confirmed that donations are being returned. He, however, claims it’s not a large sum at all- only 800$. He also announced his plans to register the foundation and get it running again as soon as possible.

According to the TMZ’s sources, Brittany Murphy left her whole estate to her mother Sharon.

Few years before she married Monjack, Murphy, apparently, handwrote a will that was stored in her manager’s safe. In that will she left everything to her mother. After the marriage with Simon Monjack she had the formal will made but the contents of it were not significantly changed.

Simon now claims it was his own request to be left out, as the will states: I am married to Simon Monjack who I have intentionally left out of this will.”

L.A county Coroner’s office has finally released a full list of medications present in Brittany’s system. According to the report she did take a lot of drugs prior to her death. Multiple medications were present in the blood, with elevated levels of hydrocodone, acetaminophen, and chlorpheniramine. L-methamphetamine was also present.”-the report lists.

All the signs, however, lead to the conclusion that Brittany had pneumonia which she tried to cure with self medicating. “Acetaminophen and hydrocodone are components of Vicodin. Chlorpheniramine is considered an active ingredient in some over-the-counter medications. L-methamphetamine is a component of some inhalers. “ – the report further explains.

So her that was an accident after all.

Brittany Murphy’s almost charity foundation

The Brittany Murphy’s Foundation who has been raising donations for children since the last month isn’t exactly a charity. As the matter of fact, according to the law-it’s not a charity organization at all!

Late Brittany’s husband, Simon Monjack, and her mother rushed to get the foundation up and running while all the media fuss about her tragic death lasts, but in that process they somehow “forgot” to register their scam charity organization. The site of Brittany Murphy Foundation by which donations were solicited was “down for maintenance” after the news about this broke out, only to reappear with the note you can see here.

Shameful!

This beautiful star died at the age of 32, on December 21st 2009. There have been a lot of speculations about the cause of her death, but on Thursday the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner released a report in which pneumonia and multiple drug intoxication were listed as the factors that led to the tragic outcome.

In the statement given to Access Hollywood, coroner’s office spokesperson said that Brittany’s death was really an accident. According to her mothers words, Brittany was feeling sick and scheduled a visit to a doctor just few days before her death. However, she didn’t live to attend the scheduled appointment. Pneumonia and self medication combined with her anemia and weakened body, lead to the tragic accident that shook the whole world.

The coroner’s office listed pneumonia as the primary cause of Brittany’s death, but drugs she took also played a big role in that. So, the statements her husband and her mother gave previously, about drugs not being the reason for her death were not exactly true.

The coroner’s report cleared things about Brittany’s death but it also revealed a shocking fact- Brittany didn’t have to die! In the official report pneumonia and severe anemia were listed as the main reasons that led to death. However, self-medicating may be what “tilted the wrong end of the scale”, and Brittany could be alive today if somebody took her to the doctor sooner.

“This death could’ve been preventable. Murphy was planning on seeing a doctor, but she unfortunately passed away before she did. This was a case of a person with pneumonia who was anemic, who was taking medication when she should’ve been getting medical treatment. “- the Assistant Chief  Ed Winter explained for The People Magazine.

He refused to say exactly what drugs were found in her system and suggested everyone to wait a few weeks when the report will be completed. However, he mentioned there were no evidence of any wrong-doing.

Dr. Michael Baden who didn’t work on this case but is familiar with it implied that some medications she took could have caused the pneumonia. Brittany’s husband, Simon Monjack, insists she did take a lot of prescribed and over the counter medicines,  but didn’t abuse them.

Simon Monjack claims that Warner Brothers killed his wife and is seriously thinking about filling a lawsuit. This shady guy gave many interviews after Brittany’s departure, so much that everybody started suspecting he is using her death for self promotion.

Now he claims that Warner studios firing Brittany from the Happy Feet sequel is what killed her. “She was devastated”, he said. Simon is positive that Brittany’s heart attack was the result of the studio canceling her contract for the role of penguin Gloria.

Well, a lot of speculations about the real cause of her death have been going on, so we better wait for the coroner’s report. Maybe it will provide a good answer to the ongoing question about why Simon didn’t want an autopsy to be performed.
