Alexander McQueen – Suicide

The results of coroner’s preliminary exam completely explain why police labeled the designer’s death as “non-suspicious”. The creator and the corners stone of McQueen empire hanged himself in the closet. The complete report will not be out until April, but even now one thing is sure- it definitely looks like a suicide.

London police department found his body in his apartment last Thursday but the cause of death was kept a secret until the coroner examines the body. McQueen even left a suicide note but it’s “being looked at by police”, so it’s contents are not known at the moment.

The news that fashion designer, Lee McQueen, was found dead in his home in London on February 11th shocked the world. The creator of the McQueen fashion empire was 40 years old, and the cause of his sudden death is still unknown to the public.

The police report didn’t provide much information either. Police were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 10:20 a.m. regarding a man found dead …The deceased is believed to be 40 years old and from London. Next of kin have been informed but formal identification is awaited. A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course. The death is being treated as non-suspicious at this time.”- the report said.

His family addressed the public, too, kindly asking everybody to respect the family and give them their peace and time for grief: “At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee’s family. Lee’s family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this”
