Warren Beatty and Annette Bening’s Daughter to Undergo Gender reassignment
Warren Beatty and Annette Bening’s oldest child, Kathlyn Beatty wants to have a sex change operation. The 18 year old is said to be living as a man and has reportedly changed her name to Stephen Ira.
The transgendered teen’s parents have pulled him out of a prestigious private school in Los Angeles and are having him home-schooled to keep him out of the public eye.
The Hollywood couple, who are both very liberal and supportive of LGBT rights organizations, should be thrilled that their daughter has summoned the courage to deal with what must be a very emotional and confusing issue. Instead, while they are fully supportive of their child, they are also reportedly “crushed”.
So, it’s a bumpy road that Kathlyn Beatty is choosing. Having to watch a child make that kind of decision can be very hard on parents, even celebrity parents, because, ultimately, we all just want our kids to be OK.
However, for that to happen, our kids have to be OK with themselves first…even if it means changing genders.
